Linda Stacy wrote “Push Me to The Moon” to inspire a child’s imagination about everyday activities and encourage them to create their own stories and illustrations.

All proceeds from sales of this book will go directly to Family Promise of Hall County (Georgia), whose mission is to help children and families achieve lasting independence by providing shelter, meals, and wraparound support services.

 About the Book

“Push Me to The Moon” was created by Linda Stacy. The inspiration came from the memories of her two grandchildren when playing on the swings with them. “Push me higher” led to her asking them what they saw, and her grandson, Tyler, saw the moon. She asked him to describe what he saw and then draw a picture that pushes him into a glorious realm of creativity and discovery. This book is illustrated around that picture and what he saw on the moon.

Hopefully, the blank pages in “Push Me to The Moon” will encourage children to use art to create stories, inspire imagination, and unlock artistic talent in young children.

When pushing children higher and higher in a swing, the author hopes that readers will ask, “What do you see?” The answers are endless.

How do you inspire a child to begin their wonderful journey into the world?  You love them, you protect them, and you give them a chance to imagine.  Linda has done that not only with her grands, but with international students and working as a child advocate.  I am giving this inspired offering to my nieces and nephews because I love them, will always protect them, and want them to IMAGINE.

— Barbara Boone, Atlanta, GA

I can hardly wait to receive this book as I like to read to my Goddaughter’s two children ages 1 and 3. We are blessed to have these children in our lives and reading to them makes me smile to see how their little faces light up. So “Push Me to The Moon”, written by my dear friend Linda, will be a book they will enjoy, I’m sure!!!

— Vera Bowers, Cumming, GA

Linda has always had a heart for children and strives to make a difference in their lives. This book is evidence of that fact.

Push Me to The Moon” touches my heart in so many ways! Its origin is a gentle reminder to treasure everyday moments with those we love and shows that we can foster a child’s imagination with simple things...such as a swing on the playground. What a happy, colorful book to read with little ones! And, Linda Taylor Stacy’s donation of the book’s proceeds to help Family Promise of Hall County, an organization that helps children and families, continues her legacy of a loving grandmother who cares for children.

— Candace K. Hart, former educator and community volunteer
